If she has a ewe lamb she won’t be up for sale until Dec / Jan
Milking records: over a quart at weaning (weaned lambs late last year), dropped down to 1lb / day rather quickly after weaning (about 5 months in milk)
Notes: sweet, super easy keeper, jumps right on the stand and knows her job, super fertile, nice udder with teats that hang straight down & are easy to hand milk.
Price: $400 as a bred ewe, or $550 after freshening with one lamb, $750 after freshening with two lambs
Nurse Momma
“Nurse momma” #4
Breed: 1/2 East Friesan x 1/2 Lacaune
5 years old - DOB 2021
2026: Due 10/15 - confirmed bred to 100% Lacaune ram “Perry”
2025 twins: aborted twin lambs due to placental e-coli infection (sent to the lab for testing); stayed in milk, raised two bum lambs then went on to continue milking at least 1 quart / day on once a day milking until October 2025 - was giving 3/4 gallon per day before other lambs grafted on to her (she was the first to lamb)
2024 single: also grafted a small triplet lamb on to her
Short teats more suitable to machine milking but I did hand milk her last year
Milking records: Gave 3/4 gal or 6lbs / day milking twice a day last year with no lambs
Notes: Kind of a funny personality but jumps right on the stand and knows her job. Does not like her udder messed with if it’s not time to be milked.
Price: $400 as a bred ewe, or $550 after freshening with one lamb, $750 after freshening with two lambs
First fresheners for sale
Moe’s Sister
“Moe’s sister” #32
Breed: East Friesan / Finn (percentages unknown)
Yearling, first freshener, DOB 4/8/25
2026: Due 10/15 - confirmed bred to 100% Lacaune ram “Perry”
Triplet
Dam: Rosie; Sire: Dino (East Friesan ram)
Notes: She is a little flighty but is trained to jump on the milk stand. She comes from a line of extremely friendly ewes so she may settle down with daily milking. She is a triplet and her sister was wonderful to milk as a first freshener this spring - never kicked, always stood beautifully.
Moe’s (her full sister) milking records: She has consistently milked over a quart per day while lamb sharing with twins, her peak thus far being 3.5lbs and her low being 1.25lbs about 90 days in milk.
Price: $400 as a bred ewe, or $550 after freshening with one lamb, $750 after freshening with two lambs
